Muse of the Month: Kirralee Thompson

If you’ve followed Alana Maria for a while, chances are you’ve seen Kirralee’s face and her signature bracelet stacks before. A long-time friend of the brand, content creator and all-round creative, Kirralee’s style is effortless yet considered, mixing nostalgic silhouettes with timeless touches. We sat down with her to talk jewellery, personal style and the big life changes she’s leaning into this year.

Can you share a special memory tied to a piece of jewellery?

Ooo I have a few (I am a very sentimental person), I think a moment I really cherish was on my birthday last year. My bestfriends and I visited the Alana Maria store in Byron Bay on my birthday trip, we all picked out some jewellery and got our Forever Bracelets. I think about how special that moment was all the time, very grateful.

What does a typical day in your work life look like?

Well, I have technically just started a new full time job (working for myself) and navigating this has been quite challenging so I am still figuring it all out. Right now it is setting routine. Beginning my day at the gym, then home to breakfast and urgent comms. Usually I would shoot content around 10am -2pm then edit in the afternoon. Somedays I am out all day at events or showings. No two days are ever the same really!

What's a good piece of advice you've received recently?

Nothing changes if nothing changes. I took this one quite literally this year and entered a whole new career chapter. You only have one shot at life so sometimes you need to take that risk.

Could you tell us a bit about any female role models you have?

Corny - but my mum. She really inspires me, she is so true to herself, confident but not in a conceited way. She really brings a light to the room and has forever encouraged me and supported me through every passion I have had, she offers insight and an opinions on situations I am learning to navigate and I really rely on her. She and my dad have raised all five of us kids and I honestly am so grateful for my family!

What’s been your most exciting career moment so far?

Attending London Fashion Week. Such a surreal, pinch me moment. I was freaking out because I knew no one - but this really helped with my personal development and putting myself out there!
